What the Force Does

The Counter Narcotics Force is the specialized field wing of the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department. Its work covers operations against illegal drug trafficking and narcotics across Punjab. Selected ex-servicemen will serve in supervisory, combat, canine, administrative and clerical roles, and may be posted in any district of the province.

What Happens on the Test Day

Candidates appear directly at Fortress Stadium on their designated day. The process on 2 and 3 November covers registration, the physical efficiency test (PET), a written examination and a psychological test. Candidates who qualify are then called for interviews from 4 to 6 November. There is no separate application deadline — the test day itself is the date that matters.

Why Apply — Benefits of the CNF Drive

For retired soldiers, this is one of the rare government hiring drives designed specifically for ex-servicemen rather than open civilians. The age limits are set generously against retired rank, the process is a single walk-in with tests and interviews within one week, and the roles use military skills — discipline, physical fitness and field work — directly in civilian law enforcement. Appointments are on contract with the provincial government.
