Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC)
The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has rewritten the rulebook for its Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2026 — and reopened the door for thousands of candidates who were previously locked out. Under Advertisement No. 06/2026, dated 23 October 2026, the upper age limit rises to 33, the number of attempts goes up to five, and the screening pass mark drops to 33 percent. Applications stay open until 11 November 2026, and the screening test is set for Saturday 28 November 2026.
This is not a brand-new examination. It is a revision of the earlier CCE-2026 advertisement (No. 04/2026, dated 19 August 2026), ordered after the Sindh provincial cabinet’s meeting on 20 October 2026, chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. If you already applied under the old advertisement, you do not need to apply again — but you can still correct mistakes and upload missing documents until 11 November.
What changed at a glance: Age limit 30 → 33 years • Attempts 3 → 5 (for three years) • Screening pass 40% → 33% (66 of 200 marks) • Negative marking 0.25 per wrong answer introduced • Closing date extended to 11 November 2026 • Screening test 28 November 2026.

The Age Limit Rise: Who Benefits
The headline change is the age ceiling. The Sindh cabinet raised the upper age limit for CCE from 30 to 33 years, while the minimum age stays at 21. That three-year extension brings back candidates who had aged out of the examination, including many who spent years preparing and were shut out by the old limit.
One caution on the age calculation date: sources differ on the exact cut-off date used to measure age. One listing cites 11 January 2026, while two others state the age is reckoned on 11 November 2026, the extended closing date. Because this detail decides eligibility, check the official advertisement on spsc.gov.pk before you rely on either date. All other eligibility conditions from the original advertisement still apply.
Five Attempts and a Lower Pass Mark
The second major change is the attempt limit: candidates may now use five attempts over three years, up from three. Combined with the lower screening pass mark of 33 percent (66 marks out of 200), down from 40 percent (80 marks), the screening stage is now meaningfully easier to clear.
But there is a sting in the tail: negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer now applies. Under the old no-negative-marking pattern, a blind guess cost nothing; now four wrong guesses wipe out one correct answer. Accuracy matters more than attempting every question.
Screening Test on 28 November 2026
The screening test is now fixed for Saturday 28 November 2026, just 17 days after applications close. That gap is tight but not unusual for SPSC — the CCE-2025 screening timetable gave only 12 days between its notice and the test. Do not expect the centre list until after the portal closes on 11 November, and keep checking spsc.gov.pk for the roll-number slips and centre details.
The pass mark of 66 out of 200 suggests a 200-mark paper, but the commission has not confirmed the paper length or duration for CCE-2026, so treat that as unconfirmed until the timetable is published. The cabinet package also approved computer-based testing for single-paper examinations, with results printed immediately after the test, and revised interview marks in line with the Federal Public Service Commission’s pattern.
