Physics, Mathematics, Biology & Chemistry Faculty

Founding faculty in Physics will build both the curriculum and the physical infrastructure of a new physics programme — lecture sequences, experimental labs and equipment procurement — while setting up a research programme that connects with the university’s energy, climate and materials Grand Challenge Institutes. Founding faculty in Mathematics will build the quantitative backbone of the new university: the calculus, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, probability and computational mathematics sequences that every school depends on, while establishing a research group in pure or applied mathematics from the ground up. Founding faculty in Biology will build a life-sciences programme spanning molecular and cell biology, genetics, physiology and ecology, and establish teaching and research labs that connect with the bioengineering and agri-food Grand Challenge Institutes, addressing health, agriculture and environmental challenges facing Pakistan.
