Post-Wise Vacancy Details
1. Network + Security Engineer — 4 Posts
The network engineers will design, build and look after the cell’s computer networks and security systems. Day-to-day work includes setting up LAN and VPN networks, configuring routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers from brands such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet and MikroTik, and watching network traffic with tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios or PRTG. The role also covers security policies such as access control lists, intrusion prevention and detection, VLANs and VPNs, plus capacity planning, disaster recovery planning and keeping proper network documentation.
Salary: Rs 180,000–200,000 per month, PPS-08.
2. DevOps Engineer — 1 Post
The DevOps engineer will build and run the pipelines that move software from development to live use. The work includes CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, data-centre infrastructure, high availability and failover planning, and monitoring, alerting and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog and CloudWatch. The role also covers Linux and Windows servers, networking and firewalls, and working with developers to automate build, test and deployment steps while keeping security rules in place.
Salary: Rs 250,000–300,000 per month, PPS-08.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication Engineering or Software Engineering from an HEC-recognised university. For the DevOps post, the accepted fields are Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience for both roles. Network applicants need hands-on work with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and network monitoring tools. DevOps applicants need experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, data-centre infrastructure and monitoring and logging stacks.
- Age limit: The portal listing shows 25–70 years, with age counted on the closing date, 27 October 2026. This upper figure looks unusually high, so candidates should confirm the exact age bracket on the Punjab Job Portal before applying.
- Domicile: Punjab (the project and posting are in Lahore; Punjab domicile is normally required for provincial project posts — confirm on the portal listing).
- Preferred skills: For the network role, CCNA or similar networking certification will strengthen an application. For the DevOps role, container and cloud monitoring experience is a clear advantage.
Documents Checklist
- Updated CV with complete work history
- CNIC and Punjab domicile certificate
- Degree and transcripts (HEC-recognised institution)
- Experience certificates proving at least 5 years of relevant work
- Relevant certifications (for example CCNA, DevOps or cloud certificates, if held)
- Recent passport-size photograph
- NOC from the current employer, for government or semi-government employees
Why Apply for These IPAC Posts?
First, the pay is well above the usual provincial contract rates — up to Rs 300,000 a month for the DevOps role. Second, the work is modern and practical: cloud-style infrastructure, security engineering and automation, rather than routine clerical IT work. Third, the cell is a new setup, so early team members will help shape how the Industries Department uses data and technology. Finally, Lahore-based government project work of this kind looks strong on a CV for future public-sector or private-sector technology roles.
How to Apply
- Open the Punjab Job Portal at jobs.punjab.gov.pk and register or log in.
- Find the IPAC listing under the Directorate General of Industries, Prices, Weights and Measures.
- Select either Network + Security Engineer or DevOps Engineer and fill in the online form carefully.
- Upload your CV, degrees, experience certificates and CNIC.

Note: one secondary source lists the network role at PPS-07 rather than PPS-08. This post follows the Punjab portal listing, which shows PPS-08 for both roles; confirm the scale on the portal when you apply.
