Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Government of Pakistan

There is no online form to fill and no written test to sit for this one. The Federal Board of Revenue is hiring eight staff members under the Balochistan quota, and the whole selection happens face to face: eligible candidates simply walk into an interview centre in Quetta, Hub or Gwadar between 16 and 24 November 2026, with their original documents in hand. For a Balochistan domicile holder with a Matric, Intermediate or Bachelor’s qualification, this is one of the most direct routes into a federal department this month.

Eligibility Criteria – Education, Skills and Age

Assistant applicants need a Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognised university, and they must complete a six-week Basic IT Training Course, including MS Office, from the National Information Technology Board (NITB) before the end of the probation period. The advertisement warns that failure to finish that training in time may end the service. The age limit for Assistants is 18 to 33 years, including five years of general relaxation.

Stenotypist applicants need Intermediate, a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute, a typing speed of 40 words per minute, and computer literacy. UDC applicants need Intermediate plus a three-week NITB Basic IT Training Course (MS Office) before the end of probation. LDC applicants need Matric, a typing speed of 30 words per minute, and the same three-week NITB course. For Stenotypist, UDC and LDC the age limit is 18 to 30 years, including five years of general relaxation. Extra relaxation may apply under government rules for retired armed forces personnel, government servants with two years of continuous service, persons with disabilities, and children or widows of deceased civil servants. Age is calculated as of 16 November 2026.

The one condition that cannot be waived is domicile: only candidates holding a Balochistan domicile or local certificate are eligible, because all eight posts sit on the Balochistan quota. Both male and female candidates may attend, according to the advertised quota split.

Why Apply – Benefits of an FBR Post

FBR is the federal tax authority, and its clerical and assistant cadres handle the daily working of tax offices across the country. A BPS-11 to BPS-15 post brings the stability of federal service: a fixed pay scale, annual increments, medical cover and leave under federal rules. The walk-in format is itself an advantage — there is no portal queue, no test fee and no waiting for a roll-number slip. A candidate who is ready with documents can simply turn up and be assessed.
