Vacancy Breakdown by Zone

Post Department Posts
Agriculture Officer / Research Officer (B-17) Agriculture and Cooperatives Department, Extension Wing 105
Assistant Engineer (B-17) Planning and Development Department, Divisional Directorates (field offices) 3

The 105 Agriculture Officer seats follow Balochistan’s zonal system: Merit 17, Kalat zone 17, Mekran 12, Zhob 11, Nasirabad 11, Quetta zone 11, Sibi 5 and Quetta City 5, plus 16 reserved seats — 5 for disabled candidates, 5 for women and 6 for minorities. The 3 Assistant Engineer seats split as 2 on all-Balochistan merit and 1 for Kalat zone. Your zone comes from your domicile; a married woman not in government service may apply on her husband’s domicile if it carries her name. Every other post in Advertisement 07/2026 — including Physical Education lecturers, professors, Senior Registrars, Population Welfare instructors, Assistant Director (Sports) and Legal Officer — stays closed.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Agriculture Officer / Research Officer: A Master’s degree in Agriculture, or a Bachelor’s (Hons) in Agriculture, both at least second division.
  • Assistant Engineer: A second-class B.Arch or BE (Civil), with registration with PCATP or PEC.
  • Gender: Both posts are open to men and women.
  • Age: Upper age 28 for both posts, counted on the closing date; for Assistant Engineer the range is 21 to 28. Balochistan’s general age relaxation applies on top, and government servants with two years of continuous regular service get relaxation up to 50 years.
  • Age caution: The addendum does not state whether age is now counted on 17 November or still on 14 October, and the scanned advertisement is hard to read on the number of general relaxation years. Candidates near the limit should check both dates against their matric certificate and the advertisement itself.
  • Test: Both posts are tested with multiple-choice questions in the relevant subject.

Documents Checklist

  • Degree and detailed marks certificates for the claimed qualification
  • PCATP or PEC registration (Assistant Engineer applicants)
  • Balochistan local/domicile certificate for your zone
  • CNIC and a recent photograph
  • Departmental documents, for government servants claiming relaxation
  • Paid fee receipt — keep it safe for exam day, along with your original CNIC and downloaded admission certificate

How to Apply

  • Pick your zone according to your domicile and choose Quetta as the test city.
  • Generate the PSID for Rs. 800 and pay it through any 1Link channel — EasyPaisa, JazzCash, a banking app, ATM, internet banking or over the counter at a 1Link member bank.
  • Submit before 17 November 2026 and keep the paid receipt. No hard copy is sent to BPSC.

Do Not Confuse This With Advertisement 09/2026

This reopening is easy to mix up, and the confusion is real: the BPSC website lists the addendum beside the words “Advertisement No. 09/2026”, but the signed addendum itself names Advertisement 07/2026 and only these two posts. Advertisement 09/2026 — the 250-post drive covering veterinary, sub-engineer and computer posts — is a separate recruitment that still closes on 11 November 2026. Do not wait until 17 November if you are applying under 09/2026, and do not assume this extension covers any other post.
