What Each Job Involves
Stenotypist (BPS-14). The senior clerical post in this round. The job means taking shorthand dictation in meetings and inspections, turning notes into clean typed transcripts, handling receipt and dispatch of office papers, and keeping the officer’s files in order. Confidentiality matters here, because the correspondence concerns land records and administrative matters.
Survey Draughtsman (BPS-11). The technical post. Field surveys of department land using Total Station, Theodolite and GPS equipment, boundary demarcation of cantonment and military land, checking encroachments by measurement, and preparing and digitising scale maps and layout plans with AutoCAD and GIS software. Candidates also scrutinise building and site plans against approved layouts.
Lower Division Clerk (BPS-11). Routine office work done well: typing letters and office orders, recording daily dak, maintaining the dispatch register, diarising cases, and putting up files with correct notes and enclosures.
Mali (BPS-01, 3 posts). Keeping lawns, greenbelts and plantations in shape — mowing, pruning, watering, weeding, and caring for nursery plants — plus looking after gardening tools.
Peon / Naib Qasid (BPS-01). Carrying files within and between offices, keeping the officer’s room tidy, receiving visitors politely, and helping with basic photocopying and message delivery.

Why This Round Is Worth Noting
Small federal rounds like this one are easy to miss, but they carry a real advantage: every post is regular, not contractual, which means standard government pay, allowances and service protections from the start. The range is also unusually wide for seven seats — a BPS-14 shorthand post, a diploma-level survey post, a Matric-level clerk post, and two support posts open to Primary and Middle passers. The hard gate is the domicile: only Balochistan domicile holders are eligible. One wording conflict is worth flagging honestly: one aggregator page heads this recruitment with the Chaklala Cantonment Board name, but the NJP listings and two other independent sources place all seven posts in Quetta under the Balochistan Initiative, and this post follows the NJP placement. Applicants should confirm their exact NJP listing title before submitting.
Fraud Warning
Never pay anyone for a job. Applications for this recruitment go through the National Job Portal only. Anyone demanding money for shortlisting, a test pass, or an appointment letter is running a scam — do not pay, and report the matter to the department.
