Punjab Tourism Heritage Development Force Jobs 2026 – 110 Posts, 31 Categories, Apply by 20 November

Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department, Government of the Punjab

The Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department of the Government of Punjab has announced 110 vacancies under a new project called the Establishment of Tourism and Heritage Development Force for the Revival of Built Heritage. The openings cover 31 different posts, from a Cultural Heritage Expert and project officers to master artisans in fresco painting, tile mosaic, stone carving, woodwork and pottery. Salaries run from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 450,000 a month, and applications close on 20 November 2026.

This is one of the largest Punjab government announcements of the month, and it is a genuine chance for skilled craftspeople as well as graduates. More than half of the 110 seats are for traditional artisans — fresco painters, kashi kars, brick masons, stone masons, lime plasterers, wood workers, aina kars and potters — whose skills are needed to restore Punjab’s old buildings, shrines, forts and heritage sites. Candidates must hold a Punjab domicile, and applications are online only through the Punjab Job Portal.

What the Heritage Development Force Will Do

Punjab has hundreds of old buildings, shrines, forts, mosques and tombs, and many of them need careful repair. Modern construction workers cannot do this work, because heritage repair needs the old crafts: fresco painting, glazed tile mosaic, lime plaster, carved wood, cut stone and mirror work. The Heritage Development Force is a new team built for exactly that job.

The Cultural Heritage Expert and Project Coordinator will lead the work, with an Admin Officer and an Accounts and Procurement Officer handling management and purchases. Field Supervisors will watch over sites, a Photographer will record the work, and a Senior Draftsman will draw plans. Below them, master artisans, senior craftsmen and ordinary craftsmen will carry out the restoration itself, trade by trade. Each craft has three levels — master, senior and worker — so an experienced artisan can join at the level that matches his skill.

Eligibility Criteria for Heritage Development Force Jobs 2026

  • Domicile: only candidates holding a valid Punjab domicile can apply.
  • Professional and administrative posts: the Cultural Heritage Expert, Admin Officer, Accounts and Procurement Officer, Photographer, Senior Draftsman and Field Supervisor posts need relevant bachelor’s or master’s degrees, diplomas and experience ranging from two to fifteen years or more, depending on the role.
  • Artisan posts: most artisan positions need five to twenty years of relevant practical experience, depending on the category. A master artisan is expected to show long, proven work in his craft; a senior craftsman needs solid experience; an ordinary craftsman needs practical skill in the trade.
  • Age limits: age limits vary by position, and general age relaxation will apply according to Punjab government rules. Candidates should check the age limit for their own post on the portal.
  • Contract: all appointments are on contract under the project, running up to 31 December 2027, with a possible extension of one further year. These are not permanent posts.

Why Apply for Heritage Development Force Jobs

The pay is strong for craft work. A master artisan earns Rs. 200,000 a month, a senior craftsman Rs. 150,000, and even an ordinary craftsman earns Rs. 100,000 — far above what most workshop jobs pay. The top post, Cultural Heritage Expert, pays Rs. 450,000 a month. For a skilled fresco painter, tile worker or stone carver, this is a rare chance to earn a proper salary for a traditional skill.

The work itself is also worth doing. Heritage restoration is skilled, visible work: the buildings you repair will stand for decades, and your name is attached to craft that the whole province can see. For young graduates in archaeology, conservation, history or architecture, the expert and officer posts offer a way into heritage work without leaving Punjab.

Finally, the project is large and long. With 110 seats and a contract running to the end of 2027, the force will be working across the province for more than a year, which gives steady employment rather than a short assignment.

Documents Checklist Before You Apply

  • Your valid Punjab domicile certificate.
  • Your CNIC.

  • Experience certificates showing two to fifteen years of relevant work, for the professional posts.
  • An updated CV describing your education, experience and craft skills.
  • Recent passport-size photographs, if the portal asks for them.
